Al-Gzira Beach
Al-Gzira Beach, a beach that combines beach and mountainous nature located on the southern Moroccan coast, about 10 kilometers north of Sidi Efni (for which we have dedicated a video you can see from here) on the coastal road towards Mir al-Kala, while about 65 km from the city of Tizenit, and about 200 kilometers south of Agadir... Al-gzira Beach has gained international fame and has been growing increasingly in recent years, particularly after it was ranked in 2016 by the widespread American newspaper Huffington Post, a rating in which the American newspaper relied on the site of travel specialist miube in which the beach was ranked as one of the top 40 beaches in the world, occupying 29th place, and ahead of the beaches of Australia, Brazil, France and America. In this summer, the aesthetics of the sea and the landscape are relied upon near the marine spaces of these beaches.
The beach was once again ranked in 2018 by Flight Network, Canada's largest travel site among the 50 designated beaches in the world. It is a global classification based on the collection and survey of more than 1,200 journalists worldwide, as well as the smiles of specialized bloggers.
The beach has gained fame beyond Morocco's borders thanks to its geographical structure and natural qualifications, particularly its famous arches, huge natural rock arches carved over the sea over many years on the beach-friendly mountains, which have made tidal movements natural passages that have given this beach its own character and charm.
Al Jazeera Beach (Sidi Efni- Morocco) is also a suitable place for surf enthusiasts, as well as skydiving, which in recent years has made Al-Kozaira Beach a kiss for major international advertising companies as well as leading American film producers, photography professionals and landscape enthusiasts in general.
Access to Al-gzira Beach
To get to the beach, we have to get down through long, sloping baskets that can be difficult for some, and we also note that the nearby beach parking lot is often packed during holidays, especially in summer, which can make you walk longer to get to the beach. (Road to shore video at the end of this article)
The beach is located in the earthen influence of the Teo gaza village group, the stronghold of the struggle in the capital of Ait Ba'amaran, and is characterized by a combination of mountainous and beachy nature... The beach welcomes visitors from around the world all year round, with thousands of holidaymakers from various cities in Morocco adding thousands of holidaymakers during the summer.
The collapse of the arch of The Island Beach
Late September 2016, the sudden collapse of a beach arches left shock and heartbreak for fans of this beach and the people of the region alike, a natural tourist landmark in the capital of Ait Ba'amran... It is the arch that is now seen in this picture, although the beach of Al-Kozara has more than one natural arch, but the two famous ones, one collapsed while the other is the largest of them and is seen in this video.
The island has an infrastructure that needs more work.
With individual efforts since the beginning of the 1990s, the region has witnessed the emergence of small tourism projects, which have gradually evolved, namely some small hotels and furnished apartments prepared for holiday rentals, as well as cafés and restaurants meters from the sea waves for meals in a special atmosphere, especially dishes of local fish... Also on the beach you can rent quad quad bikes or jet skis
We note that you can stay in Sidi Avni or even Merlift to go to Al-Kozara and spend time there, as they are all close areas.
